Wow, another year already, where does the time go? I think I neglect my blog because I because Patreon has taken up that role for me. I’m going to change that, though, and will commit to monthly posts, just so I can record things with a little more frequency. I do plan to update this blog someday, but for now I still have not found the time. Well, that’s false. I have not made the time. I’ve made time for plenty of other things, though.

I’m still in Germany. I got married last year, and in two weeks we will be celebrating our first anniversary. I won’t say it’s been the easiest year thanks to being in visa limbo and my wife’s health problems, but it has been a great one. One of the best years of my life, honestly.

I’ve been writing up a storm. In terms of writing accomplishments, the last year has been huge. I’m up to 4 books on Amazon now:

• Re-entry
• Rune Mage Ascending
• Rune Mage Unchained
• Golemancer

None of them set the world on fire (and two of the sank like stones,) but hey, that’s life. My biggest books are yet to be published, but Tenebroum, my most popular web novel will debut on Amazon in October, so here’s hoping that makes a bigger splash.

From a web novel perspective, I’m over a million words and twelve thousand followers now. That doesn’t sound like a huge number, but I get over 10k chapter views a day now, and this time last year I was just squeaking over four thousand followers, so that’s 200% growth in a year. I’ll take it. A couple more years like that, and I’ll be in the big time! I still have four stories ongoing over at Royal Road, but I am trying to winnow that down to two or three by the end of the year. We will see.

The last couple weeks I have also been playing with a new medium that has nothing to do with writing books: the one-page RPG. I find the constraints really interesting, and thanks to an ongoing game jam, I have been inspired.
