Web Novels

David writes several weekly web novels that can be found on Royal Road or Scribble Hub.

The first four volumes of this book are done and can be found on Amazon in print, ebook, and audiobooks.

Tenebroum – How long will it take for a murdered thief to distill into something monstrous? In this story the darkness only grows stronger, and its reach only grows wider as it expands by devouring the life that surrounds it. This is a dark fantasy where evil is a where, not just a who that focuses on slow progression, undeath, and atmospheric storytelling.

Death After Death – How many times would you die to save the world? How many times would it take until you go mad? When Simon dies, it turns out there’s more to combat than having lightning reflexes with his controller, and the path to being a hero is more brutal than he can imagine as he makes his way deeper into The Pit. Death after Death is a dark, Time loop/Isesaki story with roguelike elements, and explores some of the common tropes in a different light.

Brewing Bad – Lucas is a dick, but you would be too if you died in a meth lab explosion and found yourself in a fantasy world. Now, with only his ruthlessness and an ever-increasing body of alchemical knowledge, he has to make his way in this new world, because being poor sucks no matter where you are. What’s going to happen? He has no idea, but he isn’t dying again, because he already knows the afterlife is pretty much bullshit.

This book has now been completed and can be found on Amazon.

Broken System – Benjamin wasn’t reincarnated to another world as a reward for a life well lived. Instead, he and his friends were summoned by heartless strangers, and changed by powers beyond their understanding. Now using a broken system, he must attempt to navigate a strange fantasy world and restore his friends while otherworldly magic slowly burns away everything he is.

This book has been completed but is still available on Royal Road.

Letter of the Law – Five years ago, everything good in his life was ripped away in Jonathan’s life, and he was dragged into the depths, for the crime of doing the right thing. After enduring unimaginable suffering, he’s back, and he won’t rest until he’s balanced the scales. Letter of The Law is a fantasy story that is both a coming-of-age tale and a revenge story told in two intertwining parts (labeled ‘Now’ and ‘Then’) that explore both who Jon is now and what led Jonathan to this dark place.

This book has now been completed and can be found on Amazon.

Golemancer [Participant in the April 2023 Royal Road Writathon] A murderous AI has infected a fantasy world, reprogramming [Dungeon Cores] to build an army of unstoppable killing machines and programming magic to create unnatural mechanics in its continuing efforts to eliminate all organic life. This Story is an unconventional gamelit fantasy story infused with some light sci-fi themes and [System] mechanics.

This short story has been completed.

Darkest Reflection | Royal Road[June 2023 Royal Road Magazine Contest Entry] The inexplicable has happened at the Bergen Estate, and Josephine can turn to only one man for help: a 200-year-old vampire.
